Our services

The RAC provides three complementary offerings to its 14m+ members: Breakdown, Insurance and Service, Maintenance and Repair solutions.

RAC Breakdown Cover

Our breakdown services are delivered 24/7, 365 days a year by over 1,500 roadside patrols, who attend more than 2.5 million breakdowns every year. We offer breakdown cover and related services direct to individual consumers, to SMEs and via our corporate partnerships (including motor manufacturers, fleet companies, banks and insurers). We also provide market leading breakdown cover to members travelling to Europe.

RAC Insurance

Our insurance offering is as a broker (with minimal underwriting risk) providing a range of products through price comparison websites, with our primary offering being Motor Insurance. Capitalising on our trusted brand, we work with a leading panel of underwriters and leverage our unique and differentiated data assets and data science capabilities to lead the thinking on risk-based pricing and obtain the best possible rates for our members.

RAC Service, Maintenance and Repair

Service, Maintenance and Repair is now firmly established as the third leg of the RAC’s business. We deliver a range of products and services for individual consumers, fleets and other corporate partners, fulfilled by our growing fleet of expert RAC Mobile Mechanics (who come to you, at home or at work) and RAC’s Approved Garage Network.

Other Services

The RAC also provides other driving products and services such as accident management services, branded customer contact centre services, garage services, legal advisory services (including legal expenses insurance) as well as RAC Cars and the RAC Shop.
